The Wild Adventure Tours

The Wild Adventure Tour takes you to various wildlife destinations in South India. These locations are spread over various states of south India like Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The wildlife destinations that are part of the Wild Adventure Tour like Bandipur and Nagarhole sanctuaries in Karnataka. Then there is the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary in Kerala. Day 1 - Bangalore
Upon arriving in Bangalore, you would be greeted by our representative. He would help you to move to your hotel and relax.

Day 2 - Bangalore - Bannarghatta - Bangalore
Following breakfast you would leave for an excursion to the Bannerghatta National Park, which is near Bangalore. You should enjoy the lion safari in Bannerghatta National Park.

Day 3 - Bangalore - Mysore
Following breakfast you would visit Mysore. Later on you can take a tour of the Lalitha Mahal Palace in Mysore. This is a grand palace and was built as per the Indo-Saracenic style in the year 1912. Its Durbar Hall is magnificence personified. You can also visit the Shri Ramachamarajendra Art Gallery, which is in the Jagmohan Palace. This art gallery has a lovely collection of Tanjore paintings. There are some portraits of the royal family that have been done by the well known painter Raja Ravi Verma. You should also go to St Philomena's Church, which has a reputation for its Gothic architecture. You can also go to the Chamundeshwari Temple, which is in the Chamundi Hills. During the evening, you could go to the tour the beautiful Brindavan gardens. It is the place whereupon the musical fountains and lights give the gardens the form of a fairyland.

Day 4 - Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore
Following breakfast you can travel to the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. There you would see a number of rare birds, like water birds, in their natural habitats. This sanctuary is on an island, which is on the river Cauvery. You might as well take boat cruises in order to see the birds from up close. Other attractions would include crocodiles and otters.

Day 5 - Mysore - Nagarhole
At the morning you would visit Nagarhole, which lies to the south of Mysore. Upon arriving you can take a stroll to explore the surroundings of the camp. You can see birds, monkeys and squirrels.

Day 6 - Nagarhole
You can spend an entire day looking around the forests of the Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary. You would be seeing various species of animals like birds, squirrels, monkeys and mongoose. The tigers normally stay hidden in the dense undergrowth. Still the marks of their paws are prominently seen on the forest trails.

Day 7 - Nagarhole - Bandipur
On the seventh day you go to the Bandipur National Park. You can go around walking in the jungle and explore that place. Here deer and monkeys go about their business without any fear in the open spaces that are there between the jungle lodges.

Day 8 - Bandipur
You can spend an entire day going around in the forests of Bandipur. Here you can see various kinds of birds, deer, monkeys and squirrels. You might as well catch a glimpse of Gaur or Indian Bison, elephants and tigers provided you are fortunate enough.

Day 9 - Bandipur - Ooty
Ooty is a lovely hill resort in south India. Here there are a number of attractions like the Botanical Garden, Doddabetta Park and the tea plantations, which are located nearby.

Day 10 - Ooty
You can spend a whole day by visiting a village of the Toda tribes people, who stay in the Nilgiri Hills. The Todas are a pastoral tribe, practicing methods like agriculture and shepherding. They make hand woven clothing that is found in red, white and black colors. These are very striking and make for attractive souvenirs.

Day 11 - Ooty - Bangalore
On the 11th day you have the option of extending your tour.

Day 11 - Ooty - Kochi
You have the option of extend your wild adventure tour to Kerala. Following breakfast you can drive from Ooty to Kochi (Cochin) in Kerala. In the evening you can see a performance by Kathakali dancers.

Day 12 - Kochi
Following breakfast you can take a tour of Kochi, which has been dubbed the Queen of the Arabian Sea. You can see the Jewish Synagogue, which has been decorated with white and blue Chinese Tiles. It was built in 1568. The St Francis Church is the oldest European Church in India. It was built in 1503. The Dutch Palace at Matancherry and the spice markets are some of the other tourist attractions. The heritage as well as ambiance of Kochi is charming indeed. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.

Day 13 - Kochi - Periyar
You can drive up the hills and visit the Periyar National Park.

Day 14 - Periyar
Following breakfast, you can explore the Periyar National Park. You can avail a boat cruise on Periyar Lake and see the animals as they visit the lake's edge for drinking and bathing. The elephants come in groups and present a delightful sight when they play in groups and drink along the lakeside.

Day 15 - Periyar - Kovalam
Following breakfast you can leave for Kovalam,which is on the coast of Kerala. Here you can see the delectable beach as well as the gorgeous and spellbinding sunset.

Day 16 - Kovalam
You can spend an entire day making the most of the attractions at the Kovalam Beach. You can relax and sunbathe. You might as well avail an Ayurvedic masseur for soothing your tired body. You can swim in the Arabian Sea besides enjoying water sports like try surfing, wind surfing, and sailing. There are some other water sports like catamaran rides and parasailing.

Day 17 - Kovalam - Cape Comorin - Kovalam
You can enjoy a day long excursion to Cape Comorin.

Day 18 - Kovalam - Trivandrum - Delhi / Bombay
The journey comes to an end at Trivandrum, from where there are planes to Bombay and Delhi.
